Guide Book on Learning Mobility |

The Europemobiltiy Guide Book is focused on learning mobility and aims at introducing good practices and testimonials on what to do before, during and after mobility initiatives. The Guide Book is designed for youngsters and students and may also be used by trainers and mobility coordinators as promotional tool to support commitment for going abroad. |

The draft version of the Guide Book is availavble for download and for testing. Although it is not ready for publication, we would like to invit you to have a look at it and provide us with your views and suggestions. While our experts from PricewaterhouseCoopers are developing the structure and the main contents of the Guide Book and various mobility coordinators start to use it within their mobility initiatives, we would be pleased to receive your contribution and ideas. We are in particular looking for contributions in terms of: - case studies related with students and companies - best in class professionals who went abroad - right timing for goind abroad in your country - 5 best places in your country, where to find information on placement opportunities - guidance materials on placements Fill in the model (download here) and send it to stefano (at) cscs.it. One stop shop for knowledge sharing, based on a common framework for all organizers of mobility. The educational programme should enable mobility coordinators in order to access information on good practices, tools, methodologies, quality marks for effectively planning and implementing mobility projects, focused on work placements abroad. The educational programme covers the cycle for organizing mobility (preparation, implementation, evaluation) and offers the following features: - Guidance
- Self-assessment tools
- References to good practices
- Benchmarking exercise
- Additional existing publications and information resources

Promotional events organized in the premises of target group institutions, such as Schools, Universities and/or Educational institutions to promote mobility and to raise awareness on benefits, funding opportunities and good practices. The Mobility Fairs will see contribution of experts of mobility field as well as former mobility students, as “ambassadors” and are designed for:
- Students form the VET sector, students at university, youngsters in general and those with disabilities and/or special learning needs
- Trainers and mobility coordinators

Europemobility publish an electronic newsletter aimed at : - Spreading information about the project activities and results
- Spreading information on good practices, methodologies and tools of effectively plan and manage work placements abroad
- Making visible to students “mobility ambassadors”, i.e. other students experiencing work placement abroad
- Sharing information on events, fairs, seminars, work shops dedicated to mobility as well as on European funding opportunities, i.e. LLL programme

Europemobility promotes, on a yearly basis, an European video contest for Leonardo and Erasmus mobility students doing a work placement abroad. Mobility students are asked to tell to peers their experiences abroad, using their mobile phone. The video contest exploits existing technologies for web streaming video, blog and social networking, as in youtube, and it is organized and structured with the purpose of:
- Gathering “Ambassadors for mobility” from a wide variety of activities and areas of interest, including VET, academic, youngsters in general and those with disabilities and disadvantages
- Raising awareness and demonstrate the real benefits of work placements abroad

EUROPEMOBILITY VIDEO CONTEST 2009 awarding ceremony in Bilbao 22 - 25 October 2009
It's hard coming back to the ordinary life after the wonderful experience in Bilbao, not just because of the prize, that of course is a charge of energy and satisfaction, but for all the emotions inside those four intense days in the beautiful Basque Country with interesting people. This is one of the small but huge things that give you a lot in your life. Even if it's odd, just a couple of unexpected days like these can teach you so much about the world. |

Europemobility will establish an community of practice with public and private organizations involved in and promoting mobility with the purpose of:
- Stimulating work placements abroad
- Promoting awareness among practitioners of good practices
- Adoption of European tools and quality marks for mobility and work placements abroad

International final conferences to promote outcomes and deliverables of the project. Those interested in these conferences might be:
- Employers and employees representatives
- Students and youngsters representatives
- Decision makers in education
- Policy-makers
- Mobility players
- Other relevant stakeholders

Conference during the French Presidency of the Council, Paris – November 27th & 28th 2008 Stefano Tirati and Giovanni Crisonà, in representation of the Europemobility team, have been invited to take part within this important conference, promoted by the French Presidency of the European Council, focused on promoting the integration and expansion of mobility within the European Vocational Training System. The conference was based on the main outcomes of the MoVe-IT Study, which is also the main basis of our Europemobility initiative. |
