Who can participate?

The Europemobility Video Contest is open to any European citizen who has accomplished a study program, youth exchange or work placement abroad, within Europe.

What is your mobility experience?

We are looking for original and creative videos that show mobility experiences !
What was the most challenging incident that you’ve been through while abroad? What important things have you learnt? What was the funniest situation that happened to you?
The video can be a documentary or a short story, about a general or a specific aspect such as an educational, social or cultural experience. You can use humour, music, animations and any other media source you may want to use. Be creative.
Your video MUST be one to three minutes long.
The video has to be spoken in English or, in case you want to use another language, the video must be English subtitled.
Please note that EuropeMobility will not allow videos with commercial purposes, inappropriate language, abusive, violent and pornographic contents.

Ready to be a winner?

EuropeMobility will award €500,00 for the best video and an iPod for the second best video. All the three best producers will win a trip to Bilbao and the opportunity to present their videos at the EfVET - EuropeMobility Conference, 21 - 24 October 2009.
Travel and accommodation will be organised and paid by EuropeMobility.
The winning videos will be promoted on the EuropeMobility website and also via its project partners.

Deadline

Videos must be uploaded and candidates registered on the EuropeMobility web site before June 30th, 2009, 23:59:59 CET.
Online voting system is open from the moment of publishing the video untill August 31st, 2009.
Europemobility Commission will publish on www.europemobility.eu the names of the winners by September 15th 2009.

Award Criteria

All videos posted by any candidate will be available on the Europemobility web site and the general public is invited to express their preference with an online voting system. Furthermore our judges will express their evaluation based on the following criteria so the scoring system will result as follows:
25% - Relevance of the video, fitting with the theme of mobility
25% - Originality and creativity of the underlying idea (basic concept)
25% - Quality of the script and realisation
25% - Online voting system

Once the 2009 Video Contest is over, our judges will determine a list of videos the be kept accessible on the Europemobility web site.

How to take part in the Europemobility Video Contest?

1. Upload your video on the internet (for example on a video platform or on some file-hosting site). Each candidate can take part in the video contest with only one video.
2. Fill in our online registration form, with your contact details and the URL / embed code of your video, and make sure that we can access it without fee or registration. While registering online declare your agreement with the terms and conditions of the contest. We need your data in order to contact you in case you are one of the winners. We will not use the data for any other purpose nor pass them on to third parties.
3. Our webmaster will then check your details and publish (within 48 hours) your video within the Watch & Vote Video section section for people to see and vote your video.
